Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2018 ford f-150. The contact stated that another vehicle crashed into her vehicle, causing it to fishtail. The rear driver's side tire went into an embankment. There was a stump in the embankment that punctured a hole in the rear driver's side tire. The vehicle was unable to be driven. The driver's and passenger side air bags had not deployed. The curtain air bags deployed. Within a short period of time, a fire erupted from the area of the driver's side window to the passenger side. The flames consumed the cabin of the vehicle. The driver and front passenger were able to exit the vehicle. There were no injuries. The dealer (heritage ford, 1600 shelburne rd, south burlington, vt 05403, 802-865-8140) was contacted more than twice and asked that the manufacturer be contacted. The vermont state police towed the vehicle to their yard for investigation. The vehicle was later included in nhtsa campaign number: 18v568000 (structure, seat belts), although the contact was not notified. The manufacturer was contacted when the crash occurred; however, the contact had not received a response in a reasonable time frame. The failure mileage was 10,000.
