| Description of the problem | F150 xlt 4x4 3. 5l v6 10 speed auto 56,000 mi. When starting to drive cold, moderate acceleration will cause hesitation and missed shifting from 3rd to 4th gear. It causes a hard shift when it finally occurs, with a distinct "clunk", which cannot be good for transmission or rear end. Safety issue if unable to accelerate to speed when needed on highway ramps. This has occurred for the last 20,000 miles or so. |
