| Description of the problem | Vehicle experienced an engine stall after a 5 hour drive (with refueling stops) at highway speeds (i-85 southbound, between durham and atlanta), towing a 2,000lb empty trailer . Stall occurred after stop at the off-ramp. No engine light illuminated, but message stating "autostart/stop"feature error. Car would stall again immediately after restart. After several attempts, engine would not stall if throttle pressed to keep rpm's above idle. I was able to drive the remaining 15 miles (of total 350 mi trip). First leg of this trip was taken during the day, with a 2,000lb load totally approximately 4,000lb towed, with no issues. The above stall occurred after 2 hours of night driving. |
