Description of the problem	Ford 2018 f150 rear window / defroster issues - luckily, my rear window did not shatter as others have experienced, but i have experienced defroster overheating to the point where 2 out of 3 sections of the window no longer work. Upon inspection, it appears the resistive elements are burnt and becoming delaminated from the window in multiple places. I did also smell warm/burning electronics at the time it happened. I took the truck to the dealership - as this should still be under warranty, but was told the claim was denied, even though i did nothing to cause this and they could not tell me what happened. I can see how a sudden over-current / overheating like this could lead to glass shattering and ford should be held liable if their controls and/or defroster are not working properly. It is also dangerous, as my vision is obstructed as a result of this issue. This most likely happened when the vehicle was stationary, during warm-up, using auto-start.
