| Description of the problem | Loss of brake function while driving on highway. Pedal to the floor with no warning lights / chimes. Brake fluid reservoir appeared full - no external signs of leaks. Brake pedal had a mind of it's own! Brakes would work, then pedal to floor, then brakes would work, then not.......... Towed to dealer on 8/13/2020 8/14/2020 - dealer states brake booster failure with brake fluid leaking into brake booster. Johnson / sewell ford in marble falls, tx. No mention of master cylinder or brake vacuum pump involvement? (ecoboost 3. 5 engine configuration) booster on back order, may be weeks to months! My build date (3/2017 at dearborn plant) is almost one year later than the build dates shown in the pending recall 20s31, but appears to be the same problem. |
