Description of the problem	This morning 5/16/2018 at 7:30 am cdt, while taking my 6 year old son to school, my 2016 ford f-150 produced a "brake fluid low" warning light. The braking system was severely compromised and the pedal had to be depressed to the floor to stop the vehicle. I added 54 oz of brake fluid to get it to a dealership and the warning light continued to appear. As i was driving i had to go into manual mode to downshift to slow the car down so i could brake vehicle to a stop. Full speed braking was impossible. Was able to get to a ford dealer - they determined that the master cylinder was leaking and that the master cylinder and brake booster have to be replaced. This is consistent with prior model year recalls for this truck and engine type (3. 5l v6 ecoboost). Vehicle has 45k miles and out of warranty for this issue, so out of pocket costs are roughly $1100. Service records will become available tomorrow when the work is complete. I can upload them at that time.
