| Description of the problem | While driving on rural maryland road, complete loss of brakes without warning other than "low brake fluid" warning less than two minutes beforehand. No accident, fortunately. I understand that this is a known issue and that ford has not issued a recall for this extremely dangerous defect. Dealer has said that it will rebuild master brake cylinder and brake booster, using manufacturer original equipment but cannot state reason or cause for failure, nor provide any assurance that failure will not recur. Please compel a recall, if that is within nhtsa power. |
