| Description of the problem | 3 episodes on the same trip--- brakes were very soft and required extra long stopping distance, brake pedal went to the floor. Then driving on rural and suburban roads- tried to brake at a stop light, brake pedal went to the floor- truck did not stop and i went right through the intersection, almost hitting vehicles. Then on rural road tried to stop as i was coming upon a farm vehicle. Brakes did not work and i had to swerve around the vehicle to avoid hitting it. When brakes were pumped the stopping power returned slightly. Was able to get my truck to my work location and then called ford dealership who told me to have the vehicle towed. |
