| Description of the problem | These messages appeared on the information screen "hill start assist - not available" and "service advance trac". The engine started running rough, engine rpm and speed dropped and pressing on the accelerator pedal did mothing. I was going about 30 mph on a city street. I was able to get to the side of the road and shut off the engine. I then restarted it and the problem disappeared. It happened about four times in the last two weeks. This is a safety issue that has not been addressed by ford. The dealer replaced the throttle body and motor assembly for a total cost of $681. 55. |
