| Description of the problem | While traveling on the interstate level terrain and a stationary cruise at 70 mph, the wrench icon and check engine light appeared with a message to "see manual" at the same time the engine became unresponsive to accelerator pedal input. The limp home mode was not working and we could not get the truck moving again after stopped. I was able to shut the ignition off for about 2 min while i looked up the warning lights in the manual (only stated to see dealer immeadiatly) afterwards we were able to start and drive the truck to the next exit and home approximately 4 miles. This was a very dangerous encounter and were almost hit by 2 semi trucks while trying to coast over to the shoulder. We have owned the vehicle since new and had 8,827 miles at the time of the shut down. |
