| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2016 ford f-150. While driving 35 mph, the vehicle lost total power as it rumbled and shook. Also, various warning indicators illuminated, including the powertrain fault, stability control, air bag, and check service manual. The contact stated that the running board failed to retract. The contact pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road and restarted the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to ford & lincoln of smithtown (440 jericho turnpike, st james, ny 11780(631) 265-2340), but the cause of the failure could not be duplicated or diagnosed. When the contact retrieved the vehicle several hours later, the failure recurred and the vehicle was towed back to the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but did not assist. The failure mileage was approximately 6,000. |
