| Description of the problem | The electronic throttle body failed prematurely on my ford f150, causing the vehicle to lose the ability to accelerate and subsequently go into limp mode while traveling at normal speeds (has happened 4 times between 35 and 50 mph). This causes a very dangerous situation trying to get out of traffic and to the side of the road, as well as potential loss of control and handling. A ford dealer attempted to diagnose the problem after 3 incidents, but was unsuccessful and told me the problem may be the throttle body (but they did not replace it). |
