| Description of the problem | The braking system completely failed with virtually no warning. I was traveling on the freeway and the "low brake fluid" light appeared. There had been no mechanical signs of any issues. When i exited the interstate the brake pedal went to the floor and the brakes did not work. I was barely able to get the vehicle to a stop without hitting the vehicle in front of me on the off ramp. Ford has now released a recall on this but parts are not available to fix it yet. I'm not sure if or what they are going to do for my vehicle but i wanted to file the report given the extreme risk this failure poses. I was very fortunate to not end up in a collision. |
