| Description of the problem | As i was driving on the highway, i got a warning on my dash saying the brake fluid level was low, accompanied by the brake light illuminating on the dash. As i went to pull over to a safe location, the brake pedal went all the way to the floor when i pressed the pedal. At this point i had no power from my brakes, having to stop by downshifting and using the emergency brake. Upon inspection there was a very small amount of brake fluid in the reservoir and no visible signs of a leak or broken brake lines. I purchased brake fluid and refilled the reservoir. Within 2 miles the warning illuminate again with the brake pedal going to the floor. I had to have my truck towed to the dealership for repairs after this incident. |
