| Description of the problem | This truck experienced sudden and complete brake failure on friday 7/19/19. Luckily, this occurred in a parking lot, and the truck only hit a curb. Our truck was towed to bob davidson ford in parkville, md for repair. They diagnosed failure of the brake master cylinder leaking onto and damaging the brake booster. This truck has the 3. 5 liter ecoboost engine. Ford issued a recall for brake master cylinder & brake booster failures for 2013 & 2014 f150's with the same engine. Why has this failure of brake master cylinders & brake boosters not been extended to the 2015 f-150's with the same engine? This obviously seems to be a serious safety problem that should be prevented and paid for by ford. |
