Description of the problemDriving to work and the low brake fluid warning light came on and the brake pedal felt soft. About 1/2 mile later, i tried the brakes again and the pedal went all the way to the floor with almost zer0 stopping power. Coasted to a stop and no brake fluid in the resevoir. No sign of leakage anywhere. Five minutes on google and i discover ford recalled 271,000 2013 and 2014 f150's due to defective brake master cylinder. When the master cylinder fails, all the brake fluid gets sucked into the brake booster, totally disabling the braking system. I was very lucky to get the vehicle out of traffic and stopped with out incident. Based on the aforementioned, you would think ford would certainly repair this defective master cylinder and ruined brake booster on my 2015 f150 with only 49,500 miles. Spoke to dealership and ford customer service and the answer was no, your 2015 f150 is not covered by the recall.
