| Description of the problem | While in motion at highway speeds, our f-150 lariat supercrew 4x4 experienced complete loss of braking power. After filling the reservoir with recommended dot-4 braking fluid, the vehicle was driven carefully to the local dealership, harrold ford in sacramento. Upon inspection, the technician in the service department (vincent) diagnosed a faulty master cylinder, leaking fluid into the booster behind. In addition to the master cylinder, the booster and diaphragm are also recommended to be replaced at a cost of over $1,000. The vehicle has 39,000miles and is lovingly cared for. |
