Description of the problem | Driving 65 mph on hwy 183 in traffic, the "low brake fluid" indicator came on. I pressed on the brake pedal and the pedal went straight to the floor board. No brakes! I pumped the pedal several times and the straight to floor board and no brakes!... The traffic in front of me began to slow and brake. I was able to keep my composure and use the emergency brake pedal to slow down to avoid a collision and was able to get off to the side of the road. I had my wife and daughter in the truck and this could have ended horribly. I took it to the closest dealer i could find. The brake reservoir was completely dry and no external leaks. The master cylinder failed and leaked off into the booster. |
