Description of the problem | I started a drive, i got one half mile into the drive and the chimes went off on the dash stating low brake fluid. I tested the brakes to see if they were responsive. They were normal from my experience. I drove another five miles and had to slow for a highway overpass turn. The brakes went to the floor. I had a slight bit of brake but almost non existent. I limped the truck home and carefully put it into neutral gear any time i approached a stop light or stop sign. Got it to my garage. Checked brake fluid, totally empty. Checked all four corners and found no fluid. Poured new fluid in and check brakes again. They started to firm and went limp again. Checked for leaks again. Found the master cylinder making a hissing noise and fluid dripping from the master cylinder reservoir. Will have the dealer tow tomorrow. |
