Description of the problem | As i was driving to work on a secondary street with very light traffic (thankfully), a warning flashed on dashboard regarding low brake fluid. When i touched the brake pedal it vibrated and as i depressed it went all the way to the floor where i had minimal stopping power. With very light traffic i went to a nearby auto parts store and purchased / installed 1 quart of brake fluid. By the time i drove 3 miles to my office, the brake pedal was again on the floor with minimal stopping power. I installed a second quart of fluid with absolutely no sign of a leak anywhere. I had the vehicle towed to the dealer where they advised the master cylinder was leaking the fluid into the booster assembly. They replaced the master cylinder and booster. |
