 Description of the problemWhile driving between speeds of 55-70 mph on the highway, the vehicle entered "limp-mode". The driver notification panel displayed "service traction control, service engine," and displayed an the airbag symbol. Vehicle immediately lost the ability to maintain speed or accelerate. The engine remained on with power steering and brakes. After maneuvering out of a travel lane onto the should, the vehicle shuttered at low speeds until the engine was turn-off. After restarting the engine, the notification were removed and had no issues at that time. After nearly 1000 more miles of driving, the vehicle had the same issue while driving approximately 65mph on a highway. The same symptoms were demonstrated. After restarting the vehicle from the shoulder of the highway, the vehicle drove with no issues. Ford dealership in seaside california advised that it was a faulty electronic throttle body. The repairs are not covered outside the bumper to bumper warranty.
