| Description of the problem | Driving on highway 3 different times when acceleration stopped and check engine light came. Fortunately traffic was light when vehicle decelerated. I took vehicle to my mechanic and he had to replace throttle body. He googled problem and saw numerous types of same part vehicle. Called my ford dealer and he confirmed that they had had to replace throttle body on certain models but ford had not yet issued a recall notice. This is a very dangerous situation to lose throttle suddenly while driving. My mechanic replaced part, but ford will not address as a recall issue |
