| Description of the problem | I was driving down the highway when my truck lossed all throttle power. A wrench icon came up on my screen and i had to pull off the highway onto the shoulder. When i stopped the truck was shuddering really bad and wouldn't move. I turned it off and restarted it. The wrench went away and it would move again. I took it to a shop and they told me the electronic throttle body was stuck in the open position. This is the second time i'll be replacing the same part. First time was under warranty this time won't be. But when this part fails it is very dangerous. If it had failed while i was crossing lanes of traffic i could've been in a accident. You lose all throttle control when it sticks. |
