Description of the problem	While sitting in my truck waiting for the windows to finnish defrosting, i heard a loud bang. I looked behind me and saw that the back window had shattered. I immediately got out to investigate as it sounded like a gun shot! I live on a military base and violence of this kind is very unlikely. I looked around to see that there was no one around that could have hit or thrown something at my truck. I called the insurance agent and had an appt set for window replacement. When the tech arrived i asked him if he had seen anything like this before, a window just breaking on its own. He said that he sees a fair number of 2014 f150s with this problem, and even thought there was a recall for such. He said the heating element in the rear defrost shorts out and breaks the window. When i called ford they said there was no recall and they have never heard of such a problem. A simple search on the internet shows a plethra of simular complaints not just on 2014 models, but 2015 and 2016 as well. This is dangerous! I could have been driving and had a serious accident as a result of this. Worse even would be if my daughter was sitting back there. I am tired of the money hungry corporations not doing their ethical and moral job of keeping their customers safe, and this will not change unless we hold them accountable. Thank you for the service you provide to americans. I hope to see a recall about this issue.
