Description of the problem	While driving, i had a "low brake fluid" light come on. When i approached the next intersection the brake pedal went almost all the way to the floor. I then pulled into a parking lot and the brakes failed completely having use the emergency brake to stop. I opened the hood and inspected the master cylinder and found that there was no brake fluid. I also noticed that when i removed the cap on the master cylinder the there was suction in the reservoir. My conclusion is that the master cylinder has failed and the brake fluid is being sucked into the brake booster. I called the ford dealer service department and was told that there was no recall on this vehicle.
