Description of the problem	While drive at approximately 30-40 mph, the vehicle transmission down shifted from 5th gear to 1st gear, the engine rpm shot up and i had to pull over. The gear numbers on the dash went from displaying all six gear numbers to displaying only 1st and 2nd gear. This happened on a city street.
