| Description of the problem | As i was passing a truck the engine cut out, lost power the tach dropped from 4000 rpm to below 1000 and the engine shuddered violently. This has happened before and the dealer keeps telling me everything is working correctly. This time i took video of the instruments to prove it. The engine check light flashed all the time this was happening and then went out when the engine began operating properly. This starts after you try to pass a vehicle and it puts you in a dangerous position of being in the passing area and have no power to get by, this could lead to a major problem. I am a certified accident investigator and have been a police officer for 45 years. I am also a master mechanic, this has to be corrected by ford soon. |
