| Description of the problem | My truck would randomly hesitate during the acceleration phase. Eventually it led to me being stranded due to the inability of the vehicle to start. Trucked was towed to the dealership and i was informed that this was a reoccurring design problem in the electrical system that ford has been aware of for quite sometime. I urge your agency to strongly consider a recall for numerous reasons. 1. It's a design flaw 2. While i wasn't an issue for me normal acceleration can be just as important as normal braking in certain situations due to safety considerations.(merging, turning left across traffic, etc.) 3. It wasn't an issue for me but my service invoice indicated a slight burn on the fuse terminal. Obviously a possible fire hazard due to poor design. Thank you for upon consideration. |
