| Description of the problem | Active recall. Tranny will search for gear, disengage then violently downshift. Rpms peg at 6,500+ violent jerking. Ford says safe to drive?? No solution yet. This engine will blow at highway speeds, tranny likely damaged significantly from downshift to 1st @ 75mph. This is safe? I drive most high speed mileage. Problem worse when cruise control engaged. Dealer refuses to touch the vehicle. Sometimes truck tranny willnot engage from park, no speedo output but rpms register. Selector output may read 5 or 6 gear from park. Called ford.... Csr initially played dumb until i cited recall #. When my engine blows or tranny beyond repair, will ford fix?? |
