| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford f-150. The contact stated that while driving at 50 mph, the vehicle unexpectedly downshifted to first gear without warning. The contact was able to assume normal driving soon after the failure. The contact had taken the vehicle to courtesy ford lincoln(3533 n vermilion st, danville, il 61832) where they reprogrammed the computer; however, despite the repair, the failure persisted. Upon investigation, the contact linked his failure to nhtsa campaign number:19v433000 (power train); however, his vin was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000. |
