Description of the problem	I recently purchased this vehicle used less than a week ago. I have only driven it for about 75 miles. While driving down a busy street at 45 miles an hour the truck down shifted to first gear and simultaneously the speedometer stopped working. I kept control of the vehicle but if a vehicle would have been following closely it is possible if not likely to have rear ended me. I checked the vin and it states no open recalls. Evidently the vehicle was serviced for one of the past recalls which clearly describes this same event as an issue. I will contact the dealership grey daniels ford in brandon ms where it was purchased for inspection.
