Description of the problemI was driving in town and had to brake hard (not enough to screech the tires) due to the car in front of me. When i tried to accelerate again the truck sort of lagged, took a second to begin accelerating. Things seemed ok for a minute so i continued on my way. Suddenly the rpm needle began to go all over the dial and the wrench light came on. I decided to head back to town since the truck felt strange. As i was driving on a major road (under speed to the side with my flashers on), all of a sudden the truck just stopped accelerating. The engine was still running but i just wasnt going anywhere. I was able to coast to a safe stop. Also i started to smell something like a burning smell so i pulled over, turned the truck off, and called for a tow.
