Description of the problemHello, my name is [xxx] and i just recently purchased a 2013 ford f-150 with 98,500 miles 3 weeks ago. I had just gotten home from work and i had to take my girlfriend to meet someone. As we were pulling out the driveway i noticed that on the gear indicator in the gauge cluster it showed i was in 5th gear, i tried to accelerate a little thinking it was a bug in the cluster but it was actually in 5th gear. I got to the end of the driveway and shut the truck off. I proceeded to start the truck back up and pull out of the driveway because everything had seemed like it went back to normal. About 5 minutes down the road as i was going 60 mph the truck locked up the rear tires and skidded into the opposite lane, luckily no one was approaching me. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
