| Description of the problem | When driving the vehicle it downshifts into first gear causing the vehicle to go into "limp mode." the first time this happened we had it towed and then discovered there had been a recall issued. Since then we have had multiple breakdowns of varying degrees. The last down shift almost caused an accident as the back tires completely locked up while driving approximately 45 miles per hour. An independent mechanic has declared the truck unsafe to drive, but our local ford dealership has stated they can not fix it yet and that the drivability of the vehicle is not their problem. |
