| Description of the problem | Per recall notice 19s07, previously 19n01, transmission may downshift to first gear while moving at highway speed. I have had 3 instances of problems with and today 05/15/19 truck downshifted to first gear and locked up rear wheels. If another vehicle had been following it would have caused a serious crash with possible injuries. Ford stated they did not currently have a fix although problem has existed with ford 2013 f150 ecoboost 3. 5 engine vehicles for serveral months. I was traveling on highway at approximately 50 mph. This is a ford transmission problem that has been ongoing for several months with recall notices that were sent out by ford and they still have no fix. |
