Description of the problem	Speedometer suddenly goes to 0 mph, dash information like mpg and mileage all read ------, only instrument working is the tachometer... Additionally when the problem first starts you see the air bag warning illuminate, but a minute later the service wrench appears on screen. Once the problem happens the truck has trouble taking off, very slow to get going, it's in a higher gear and not be returning to 1st gear. If i pull off the road and turn the truck off and back on again 98% of the time the truck will run fine, a few times i had to cycle on and off twice. Problems usually reoccurs often. I had a ford dealer look at the problem... They said the problem is caused by a faulty molded leadframe inside the transmission. $1100. Repair cost. I think this should be covered by warranty---hard to believe i only got 120k out of a transmission, was expecting 300k. There is even a bulletin from ford, tsb 13-6-8. But they still would not fix under warranty!
