Description of the problemMy transmission spontaneously started to shift down several times from high gear to low gear 2/28/2019. I was able to get it to the dealer down the street after stopping and power cycling. 3/1/2019, i was informed a recall on the transmission software was available, all was well, and i picked up my f150. 3/5/2019, the f150 shifted from high to low again. I contacted my ford dealer of the ongoing issue and they said they could not get to it and made an appointment for 3/11/2019. On 3/12/2019, i was informed by the local dealer they could not get the problem to reproduce. From research conducted from the problem onset, internet forums led me to believe the problem was a regular occurrence with the plastic molded lead frame module inside the transmission. The ford dealer said they saw no problems with the lead frame, but i made the decision to have it replaced. 3/14/2019 picked up my f150. The date is 3/20/2019 and the problem has not repeated itself leading to believe the problem originally was the lead frame module. I am surprised an update device and recall has not been performed on this item as it appears to be the culprit of the f150 shifting problem.
