Description of the problem	Ford motor company (ford) is recalling certain 2011-2013 f-150 vehicles equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission (recall #19s07). The transmission may unexpectedly downshift into first gear, regardless of vehicle speed. I received a recall notice (letter) from ford informing me of this issue. Problem is my truck has been downshifting from 6th gear to first without warning for the past month (feb.-march 2019). I notified ford motor co. And was informed your vehicle has a defective part and this recall doesn't cover this. According to ford, the recall is only a software download to override this issue. The recall letter stated my truck was safe to drive (really!!) i scheduled a appointment with a local transmission service center to inspect and repair. I don't trust the local ford dealerships. Thanks ford motor co, for all your help.. This recall is a bunch of bs!!
