| Description of the problem | When putting the truck in drive from a parked position or an idling position the transmission hard shifts to 2nd gear and then hard to 1st and then all the way to 5th. Truck has 69,750 miles. Has happened on two occasions. Fortunately not while on the highway. Have read that this is a common problem. This time is will only go from 1st to 2nd and has finally come up with the wrench service light. Ford needs to fix this known problem before someone seriously gets injured or worse. |
