| Description of the problem | My auto transmission down shifts into first gear while driving. It locks up the wheels and is potentially very dangerous. Ford had a recall for 2011 and 2012 f-150's with this exact problem (recall #16s19), but they said it does not apply to my truck. That is wrong and it should apply to my truck because the recall identifies the exact problem. It is the "powertrain control module/transmission software update". It happens randomly and at speeds between 25 and 45 mph. |
