| Description of the problem | Automatic transmission problem. Twice while traveling on the highway in 6th gear at greater than 65 mph the vehicle shifted from 6th to 4th gear for no apparent reason which caused the tires to squeal and the entire vehicle jerk and slow significantly. No warning or error or warning lights were illuminated. Five other times while traveling at about 15 mph the automatic transmission controls attempted to shift from 2nd gear to 5th gear which significantly bogged the vehicle down and almost stalled. Ford error code p0722, obd-ii trouble code associated with the transmission output speed sensor came in. The vehicle was serviced and it was determined the molded lead frame connector was defective and needed replaced. |
