| Description of the problem | Vehicle experienced erratic shifting when at speed on the highway and when accelerating from a stop on multiple occasions. Speedometer, gear display and other dashboard indicators stop functioning when it happens. Transmission may stick in 3rd gear depending on current speed when it happens and in some cases the wrench icon shows on the digital display. Stopping and restarting vehicle usually makes it go back to normal temporarily. Local dealer diagnosed the problem as the transmission lead frame connector and replaced but cost was not covered current 2011-2012 recall. |
