Description of the problem	The 2013 f150 transmission downshifts often and randomly while the vehicle is operating at higher speeds (45 mph +) on the highway and on city streets. Typically the vehicle is movng straight and not turning. The downshift is typically from 6th gear to 3rd gear and more often from 5th gear to 2nd gear. In the latter instance, the rear wheels skid when the pavement is wet. The transmission moves back into the appropriate gear after a couple of seconds. We have been working with ford to solve this problem for at least two years. Ford has now given up. Ford has replaced the transmission valve body and a communication cable that connects the engine control module to the transmission. Nothing has worked and the f150 continues to downshift. I believe that this is very unsafe and i am worried when my wife drives the truck (often no option) should the rear wheels lock up and send the vehicle into an uncontrollable spin.
