| Description of the problem | My 2013 f150 ecoboost when driving down the highway has downshifted from 4th into 1st gear on one occasion. And on three other occasions i have been driving down highway between 60-75 mph and truck would downshift on it's own from 6th gear to 3rd gear. After this would happen it would not shift lower than third gear unless pulled off side of road and shut truck off for few minutes and also would not go above fifth gear. Ford dealer says was common problem on 2011 and 2012 models but seems to carry into 2013-2014 models from what they been seeing. No recall on 2013-2014 models though so i had to pay big money to fix problem that ford knows about and would like reimbursed if this becomes a recall. |
