| Description of the problem | When driving in motion, my vehicle downshifted automatically locking up the brakes. The speedometer stopped working and the airbag began to read inoperable via the display. In another situation (which occurred several times) when starting from a stationary position my vehicle failed to shift out of 1st gear. I took the vehicle to be serviced by ford, they advised the lead frame on the transmission was bad and they replaced it. Upon further research, i found that 10-12 ford f-150's from the kansas city plant had this item recalled. |
