| Description of the problem | The ford motorcraft timing chain part at4z-6268a was replaced on 12/28/2018 and failed on june 11,2019. Being a 3. 5l ecoboost interference engine, their was consquencial damage to the cylinder and valves leaving the vehicle inoperable. The vehicle was at home resident and required a tow. The safety issue is related to a part that failed, fortunately while stopped, and not in motion. I am currently trying to address the issue with ford, however they are not standing behind their written warranty or providing a remedy for the part or consequential damage related to the timing chain resulting in the absence of any repair invoices. |
