| Description of the problem | 2013 ford f-150 with 142k miles began rattling upon start up. Vehicle has always had the oil changed per schedule and has always used full synthetic mobil 1 oil. Dealership indicated that this is a common problem with the 3. 5's even on well taken care of vehicles. Repair was estimated at 3200. 00 plus tax to replace chain. F-150 was taken in and w hen the dealership opened the engine they indicated that it was in pristine condition inside and no signs of sludge or indicators that engine wasn't taken care of. Dealership also indicated that there is a tsb for these engines. |
