| Description of the problem | In the span of one week the vehicle lost power and went into "limp mode", on three (3) separate occasions. The console display goes orange, with a wrench. Two of the instances occurred at steady speed greater than 50 mph. One event was while accelerating from a stop through a right turn. The vehicle was brought to dealer for service. No obd codes were stored and the events cannot be replicated after a week of testing. This is a serious safety hazard! The vehicle must be stopped in order to shut it down and restart, where the display clears and it runs normally until without warning, it occurs again. Ford does not seem to have an answer. Panic could easily ensue form this loss of power and the drivers ability to take evasive action could be the difference between life & death. |
