| Description of the problem | 2013 f150 downshifted from 6th gear to 1st gear while traveling approximately 50 mph. This resulted in the tires locking up as if i had slammed on the brakes. It now continues to shift erratically from 1st to 6th to 3rd. It also gets stuck in 1st gear and then will randomly shift normally and then downshift back to first gear. This has been happening frequently for some time with hard shifting but this is the first time it has dropped from 6th gear to first gear. This is definitely a safety issue and i am finding it difficult to have any nearby ford dealerships take a look at it within the next two weeks. |
