Description of the problem	Remote started the vehicle at night, around 7:30 pm on a 23 degree temperature night in central indiana. We then got into the vehicle roughly 5 minutes later. Both doors were then closed and the key was put into the ignition. Once the key was in the ignition, we heard a very loud "bang" noise coming from the rear of the vehicle. We noticed the driver's side 1/3 of the power sliding rear window was shattered. We exited the vehicle to inspect the damage. Nothing was present in the bed of the truck to cause us to believe something had hit it. Upon further investigation online and a certified mechanics opinion, it has come to our attention that this is a "common" issue with ford f-series trucks. The rear defrost mechanism becomes too hot during remote start and causes the tempered glass to become unstable and shatter.
